BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A fire burned a number of tents and caused propane tanks to explode on the Bellingham Library lawn on Saturday.
Bellingham Police and Bellingham Fire are investigating the fire that they say was intentionally caused.
All the burned tents were unoccupied at the time and no one was injured.
Police say a suspect has been identified and is being sought.
The tent encampment began with a few tents outside City Hall lawn in early November and has since grown and spread across the street to the library lawn.
