BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The City of Bellingham is looking for artists for a project in the Meridian Neighborhood.
The City says the area along Mahogany Avenue near the Bellingham Costco is in for substantial residential development over the next several years and they want to incorporate artwork in the area.
They say the North End Regional Pond and adjacent trail provide a peaceful pedestrian connection between the commercial area and the neighborhoods.
$60,000 is budgeted for the design, fabrication, installation, travel, taxes and other project costs for the artwork.
Interested artists should apply for this opportunity on the City’s website by November 2nd.
