BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Satpal Sidhu has opened what looks like an insurmountable lead in the race for Whatcom County Executive.
He has a 933 vote lead over Tony Larson following last evening’s vote count.
And Ferndale City Council member Rebecca Xczar has taken a 720 vote lead in the race for County Assessor.
She had been behind Chief Deputy Assessor John Romaker since election night.
The auditor’s office says there are about 2800 local ballots left to count.
They’ll release an update this afternoon.
