MIDLAND, Wash. – The father of a 12-year-old girl killed in a Pierce County hit-and-run is asking the driver to come forward.
John Goldade tells KIRO News that he’s still processing the loss of his daughter, Immaculee.
“This truck didn’t just accidently swerve off the road,” said Goldade. “I’m not saying he did it on purpose but it was all the way in the ditch. This was complete carelessness.”
The crash Saturday morning, January 15th, in the Tacoma suburb of Midland also left Immaculee’s 12-year-old friend injured.
Investigators have since found the white flatbed truck believed to be involved but they’re still trying to identify the driver.
On Monday, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office released images of a person of interest in the case.
John Goldade says the family is asking for prayers and that God forgives everyone, even hit-and-run drivers.
The recovered truck was reported stolen by the owner.
This person was seen getting out of the stolen truck at 7:24 am at a Shell gas station and going inside to buy snacks.
