BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County real estate may be nearing a market peak, according to one local realtor.
Troy Muljat, owner and president of Bellingham-based Muljat Group Realtors, said Whatcom County’s median home price is $384,000, up more than 13 percent from last year.
But he says there are signs of future declines, with a decrease in sales likely due to rising prices.
Muljat said in the Bellingham market as of July 5th, there are more homes for sale over $1 million than under $400,000, and the average asking price for homes within Bellingham is around $886,000.
