The Western Washington University alumni team led wire-to-wire to bea the Bellingham Slam 130-125 Saturday night in the 3rd annual Back to Bellingham Battle on the WWU campus.

David Gage scored a team high 31 points for the Vikings. Anye Turner added 29 and Robert Harris Jr. tallied 27 in the victory.

Paul Hafford had a game high 32 points for the Slam, while brothers Jacob and Jared Stevenson  scored 19 and 17 points respectively.

It’s the first win for the Western alumni in the three years of the series. The Slam won 133-106 in 2016 and 108-100 in 2015.
