BALLARD, Wash. – His mail hasn’t been delivered in 10 years, and now this Ballard man is turning to a Bellingham animal attorney for help.

Randall Ehrlich toldĀ KCPQ the United State Postal Service deemed his previous dog, who is now dead, too threatening.

“And my mail stopped forever,” Ehrlich said.

Bellingham animal attorney Adam Karp and Ehrlich are suing the USPS over the “dog hold” that prevents him from getting mail delivered.

“I’d rather not be doing this. I’d rather just be getting my mail, and I’ve found no other recourse,” Ehrlich said.

KCPQ reported the USPS wouldn’t comment, but did said in a statement that the safety of its employees is “paramount.”
