BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The ballot for the upcoming special election in the Meridian School District contains a mistake.
Superintendent Dr. James Everett says he provided the County Auditor’s Office with incorrect information about the technology levy.
The ballot says it’s a replacement for an expiring levy when that is not the case.
It is a new levy, which would affect current property tax rates.
Ballots must be post marked or in a drop box by February 11th.
