BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Barron Heating is now churning out more electricity than it uses.
The company installed what it says is the largest commercial solar electric system in Whatcom County on its headquarters in Ferndale.
That, along with newly installed LED lighting, has the facility generating more electricity than it uses.
Company owner John Barron says it shows that “environmental stewardship and smart business go hand in hand.”
Barron Heating has 115 employees and serves customers in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, San Juan and Snohomish Counties.
