A hearing set for Tuesday regarding dozens of dead cattle that deputies say were left to rot at a Bay View Farm has been rescheduled.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports the farm owners want to appeal the thousands of dollars in fines they face for not following state law, which requires animals be buried or incinerated within 24 hours of death.

Roger and Marsha Pederson have two large fines against them and they are appealing both, so the county says it is putting the fines through the hearing process together.

The hearing is now set for February 28th.
