WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A Vancouver, BC man has been charged in Whatcom County after being accused of sexually assaulting a family member.
Court documents state that 68-year-old Randolph McIntyre was vacationing with family members at their trailer in Maple Falls in the spring of 2019.
Shortly after the vacation, McIntyre’s granddaughter told her mother that he molested her while she was asleep.
Witnesses said that McIntyre was heavily intoxicated the night the assault occurred and McIntyre himself couldn’t recall what he had done.
Law enforcement was notified of the assault in September of this year, as the victim’s mother wanted the child to be able to handle the stress of an investigation.
McIntyre has been in Arizona since September.
He was booked into Whatcom County Jail on Saturday, but was released on $100,000 bond.
McIntyre faces felony child molestation and incest charges.
