VANCOUVER, BC – More than 45,000 British Columbians have been forced to leave their homes because of wildfires.

BC’s new premier John Horgan and his cabinet were sworn in yesterday.

“These eleven men and eleven women will be working as hard as we can to ensure we get through this crisis.”

CTV reports BC’s Lower Mainland was under an air quality advisory due to smoke from fires burning out of control across the province, but that advisory has since been cancelled.

Air quality in Whatcom County remains good.
