BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Giving food to wild animals was made illegal in the City of Bellingham.
The City Council passed an ordinance Monday night banning feeding wildlife.
“The city council has received a number of complaints from residents about problems created by intentionally feeding the wild animals,” Council President Michael Lilliquist said.
Experts said feeding wild animals is bad for the animals and for humans.
