BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man has pleaded guilty to molesting a 13-year-old boy he mentored through the local Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Ryan High met the boy through the mentoring program and then became his foster parent while the boy’s mother worked to regain custody.
The Bellingham Herald reported that in June 2016 the boy told his mother that High had molested him.
She reported it to police.
High’s sentencing hasn’t been scheduled.
The local Big Brothers Big Sisters program folded in 2013 for financial reasons.
