Bellingham, Wash. – Bellingham’s new waterfront park will be named “Waypoint Park.”

City councilmember April Barker says, “I looked up the meaning of Waypoint and it’s a stopping place on a journey and for so many people coming to Bellingham this is a really important point on their journey.”

The name of the acid ball sculpture, which will be a central feature of the park, is also “Waypoint.”
