BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The state Department of Health is taking disciplinary action against a Bellingham neurosurgeon.
The Department alleges that Dr. David E. Baker behaved in a “condescending,” “rude” and “offensive” manner toward staff and patients at Skagit Regional Health where he has practiced since 1989.
The commission also claims he failed to produce proof that he’s completed required continuing education.
Baker, who also practices at PeaceHealth in Bellingham, has twenty days to either settle the charges or request a hearing.
UPDATE: Dr. Baker replied to the charges and the state Health Department Disciplinary Manager withdrew the complaint without prejudice on October 29, 2019.
