BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A man faces a number of charges following a violent domestic assault.
Officers responded to reports of an attack on a woman in a home in the 3100 block of Racine Street on September 3rd.
Investigators say 29-year-old Erik John Delgado violated a no-contact order when he entered the victim’s home, and he punched her and held her down when she tried to get her phone to call 911.
He damaged the phone while she was trying to make the call.
Delgado turned himself in to officers on Tuesday, September 10th.
The Bellingham Police Department stresses that there are resources for people experiencing domestic violence.
