BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A good Samaritan called police and alerted an elderly man to a hedge fire in his yard.
Around 2:00PM Sunday morning, a woman wrote on the Whatcom Scanner Report’s Facebook page about seeing flames from her window down the road.
She says she knocked loudly on the man’s door in the 1000 block of Toledo Street to wake him.
Family and neighbors report the man’s home was not damaged.
