BELLINGHAM, Wash. — President Trump recognized a Bellingham teacher for his work in science education.
James Yoos from Bellingham High School is one of four Washington K-12 educators who earned presidential excellence awards in science, mathematics, and engineering.
A release issued Tuesday by the White House says teachers are selected based on their distinction in the classroom and dedication to improving STEM education.
Yoos teaches AP and Quantitative Chemistry, and intro to Applied Anatomy and Physiology at Bellingham High.
