BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham man is accused of hiding a camera in his apartment bathroom to record his roommate and her children.
On August 9th, the victim called 911 after she found a hidden camera that had been installed in a bathroom she shared with her two children, age 6 and 3, and 30-year-old Nelson Rosales Murillo.
Lieutenant Claudia Murphy said the victim saw the camera’s red, blinking light coming from a heater vent located directly across from the toilet.
She found a hidden camera mounted inside the vent with wiring going into the wall leading to Rosales-Murillo’s bedroom.
Police contacted the suspect, who admitted to installing the camera, and booked him into the Whatcom County jail on three counts of suspected voyeurism.
