WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. — A young Bellingham man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center Wednesday after hitting a tree with his car.
The State Patrol says 24-year-old Steven Poolman was driving in southern Whidbey Island at about 4 PM when he left the roadway and hit a tree.
Troopers believe he was speeding.
They don’t know if drugs or alcohol were involved.
