BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man was arrested after indecent materials were found on his hard drive.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s spokesperson Deb Slater said that the materials were reported to deputies in January.
A search warrant uncovered several sexually explicit images of a child on the hard drive.
Investigators were able to contact the person in the photos, who is now an adult living in Indiana.
She confirmed that she sent the images to 38-year-old Joshua Apperson when she was about 13 or 14.
However, she told investigators that Apperson lied about his age in order to obtain those pictures.
Apperson was arrested and released from the Whatcom County Jail on Tuesday, July 19th.
