BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man is in custody after a woman says he sexually assaulted her while she slept.
Court documents state that the victim called 911 on July 2nd following the assault.
She told investigators that she and a group of friends had gone out for drinks the night before and returned to the apartment of 28-year-old Juan Muric Felix.
The victim fell asleep on Muric Felix’s couch and later awoke to him actively raping her.
When officers arrived, they found Muric Felix sleeping in his car in the parking lot.
He remains behind bars at the Whatcom County Jail.
