BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man is behind bars after assaulting several officers trying to arrest him.
Police said that an officer saw 28-year-old Barry Green driving erratically near the Guide Meridian on October 11th.
When they turned their sirens on, Green sped off, driving recklessly through the area.
Officers later found his car abandoned in an apartment parking lot.
Green was found hiding in nearby bushes, but when officers tried to arrest him, he charged towards them.
One officer was knocked onto the concrete.
Green continued to resist arrest, grabbing officers’ gear and refusing to let go.
Once in custody, he was taken to the hospital to be treated for possible drug use.
