BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man has been arrested after his daughter reported he sexually assaulted her when she was eight years old.

Court documents state that the victim and her mother reported the assault to Bellingham Police in early December 2021.

The victim told investigators that 31-year-old Constantin Martinez had been drinking while she was visiting him at his residence.

Martinez later allegedly assaulted the child while she slept.

Martinez was taken into custody on January 20th and faces two felony rape charges.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting his partner.

Court documents state that 25 year old Nijjim McPherson was initially arrested for a domestic assault on August 28th.

His partner later told officers that McPherson raped her a week before his arrest.

The woman was taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph’s Medical Center, where nurses found marks and bruising consistent with sexual assault.

Probable cause was established for both the domestic and sexual assaults and McPherson was taken into custody.
