BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police say that a man was arrested twice within a two hour span after trying to break into at least three buildings.

According to police records, 22-year-old Christian Dillard was initially arrested after attempting to break into a gas station around 4:00 a.m. yesterday morning.

He admitted to officers that he smashed a window with a rock and entered the building.

Dillard was booked and released from the Whatcom County Jail around 4:45 am.

Police were called about an hour and a half later after Dillard broke into two residences, causing extensive damage to both homes.

He was taken into custody for the second time, and remains behind bars at the Whatcom County Jail.
