BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man is helping move critical supplies to areas across South Florida and the Keys, and he’s doing it all from home.
Sky Terry is a planner for the northwest’s Emergency Volunteer Air Corps, and he also volunteers with Aerobridge.
KOMO reports Aerobridge has been part of the effort to get necessary supplies to devastated areas, and volunteers all over the country – including Terry – are helping to coordinate these deliveries.
Terry said the organization has seen that with the recent hard-hitting hurricanes, the military couldn’t move all the needed aid on its own.
Aerobridge has already flown more than 40 tons of supplies to these areas with the help of coordinators, like Terry, and volunteer pilots flying out in small planes.
