BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham man was arrested on charges of 2nd degree assault and residential burglary at the Sehome Haggen on Wednesday.
Bellingham Police Lieutenant Danette Beckley said a Haggen employee asked Zachary Belcaster to leave the store after he displayed unusual behavior.
He later returned to attack the employee with an unopened wine bottle.
Belcaster swung, missed, and threw the bottle at the victim, who avoided the blows.
A witness tackled Belcaster to the ground.
He was arrested and booked into Whatcom County Jail.
