BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham man is wanted for murder in the death of a woman found shot to death.

Police say officers were requested to conduct a welfare check at a building in the 1000 block of North State Street at about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8th.

They found a 31-year-old woman dead in a stairwell.

She had suffered a gun shot wound and the medical examiner determined that was the cause of death.

The investigation by BPD detectives produced evidence that 33-year-old Shilo A. Englert was responsible for her death.

He’s being sought for 2nd Degree Murder.
