BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Police arrested a Bellingham man after he threatened to shoot his girlfriend and her children on Friday.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says officers responded to a female’s report that her “stepfather” had been in an argument with her mother.
44-year-old Leonard Briscoeray is suspected of making the threats and shooting a handgun inside the house, but all victims, including four children, were able to escape safely.
Police discovered the serial number, make and model of the handgun in the house had been filed off.
Briscoeray was booked into the Whatcom County Jail and was found to have an outstanding warrant from King County for assault and attempted murder.
