Police cited a Bellingham mom for leaving her infant alone in a locked car Monday evening.
A person called 911 at about 7:30 p.m. to report the 14 month old child was alone and crying inside the car outside an apartment complex on Northwest Avenue.
The person was worried about the child because the outside temperature was 33 degrees at the time.
When officers arrived the mother was with the child.
They cited 36 year old Anne Kenoyer for 3rd degree criminal mistreatment, a misdemeanor, and released her.
A police spokesman says it’s a reminder to never leave a child alone in a motor vehicle.
