BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Bellingham nurse is accused of unprofessional conduct after the Department of Health says she came to work drunk and withdrew from an agreed-upon monitoring contract.

The Department says in November 2014 a breathalyzer test showed Tammie Lynn Morgan had a BAC level of about .23 at 11:30 in the morning while on the job and admitted to having a problem.

Court documents show Morgan entered a monitoring contract with the Nursing Commission, but never showed for scheduled visits and later withdrew from the contract after a relapse, citing medical and financial reasons.

Morgan has the opportunity to challenge these charges. The name of her employer has not been released at this time.
