BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham is updating their paid parking system.
City of Bellingham Staff are working to implement the strategies for parking management outlined in 2014 and 2015, including strategies to encourage the use of the Commercial Street Parking Garage and technology to pay for on-street parking.
City officials say their 2019-2020 budget includes funds to replace coin-op meters with electronic pay stations.
Other concepts up for consideration include free parking for the first 15 minutes, parking ticket cost changes and expanding paid parking to Fairhaven and more areas downtown.
