BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police officers consider the department’s police dogs to be colleagues just like humans on the force.
So, when one dies, it impacts the entire department.
K-9 officer Brick died suddenly and unexpectedly earlier this month.
He had quite the career, serving in Iraq with the military and then working with the BPD, FBI, ATF, Border Patrol and other agencies.
He located explosives, guns, ammunition, and fireworks.
