DEMING, Wash. – The Bellingham Police department is fighting back against, what it calls, misinformation circulating in the community.

Officers responded to a call at the Fairhaven bus terminal on August fifth.

It was related to the firing of immigrant workers on a Sumas-area blueberry farm.

It was a hectic situation and the workers didn’t understand their rights.

The department now says it’s being accused of stopping a bus and not allowing anyone off by threatening them with immigration violations.

We posted body camera videos below.

The department says the footage allows the community to judge the officer’s actions for itself.
