BELLINGHAM, Wash. – New Year’s Eve is fast approaching and you can expect to see more Bellingham police out and about downtown.
Lieutenant Don Almer says the Police Department likes to have an increased presence on days where people are out celebrating and drinking.
He says it allows them to positively interact with citizens and be a constant reminder not to drink and drive.
