BELLINGHAM, WASH. – Bellingham Police say they arrested a man who beat a 7-Eleven manager early Friday morning.
Police spokesman Don Almer says officers responded to a holdup alarm and a 911 call just after 5 a.m.
They arrived to find the manager of the 7-Eleven on Northwest Avenues semi-conscious.
Officers and police dogs started searched for the suspect, but didn’t find him until Friday afternoon.

As police watched surveillance video of the robbery, Almer says they realized they had contacted Dante Grey earlier.
They say Grey asked them for money and was drinking in public.
Almer says the surveillance footage shows Grey beating the manager and taking a pack of Swisher Sweet cigars.
