BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A local painting and finishing company is being recognized for using environmentally safe products.
The Northwest Clean Air Agency awarded Bellingham Professional Finishes the annual Platinum Clean Air award after they made the switch to safe, water-based finishing and painting products that drastically cut their air emissions.
The Platinum award is the Northwest Clean Air Agency’s top honor for work that businesses and organizations do to protect and improve air quality.
“It is no longer the quality of our work alone that sets us apart from others in the painting and wood coatings industry – it is our continued commitment to lower our impact on the environment,” wrote co-owners Miranda Teel and Nick Haas in a letter.
