BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Public Schools recently surveyed students, staff and parents about the new high school schedule put in place this school year and the responses were mostly positive.
Superintendent Dr. Greg Baker says most were happy with the later start to the school day.
He says that under the old schedule some students were having to squeeze in extra classes as early as 6:30, but “now they can come at 8:30 and they have four classes on one day, and four on another, which gives them a lot more opportunities to take a variety of courses.”
Dr. Baker says they’ll use the results of the survey to consider any changes they might make to the new schedule.
