BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The class of 2020 is going virtual for graduation.
High school graduation has been a hot topic since the COVID-19 pandemic prompted schools to close for the remainder of the school year, and the Bellingham School District has officially announced a plan.
Superintendent Dr. Greg Baker says seniors will soon be able to pick up caps and gowns to be worn at a virtual graduation ceremony taking place at 6 p.m. on June 12.
Each school’s event will include student and staff speakers, music, and photos of all the graduates.
And remember, you can post a picture of your northwest Washington grad here for a shot at a $500 scholarship!
