BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Driver education is coming back to Bellingham Schools.

Superintendent Dr. Greg Baker says many districts dropped the course when the state quit funding it in 2002.

But he says the school administration has found a variety of funding sources to fund a return of the program.

And he says it’ll save families the expense of private driving school, which many can’t afford.

He says the goal is to have the class available this fall.
