BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Classes were cancelled again Thursday at Bellingham Technical College as staff decided to strike amid contract negotiations.
The college is working on a contract with the Bellingham Educational Support Team, or BEST, which represents clerical, technical, instructional and retail support staff at BTC.
BEST is on strike and BTC faculty voted to not cross the picket line, so all classes are cancelled.
Campus services are still open to students during the strike, including the College Services building, the Campus Store and Campus Center library.
