BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Members of two faculty groups at Bellingham Technical College are calling for the resignation of the school’s president, Kimberly Perry.

Bellingham Education Association and Bellingham Education Support Team, or BEST, say settlement talks to address issues related to a breakdown in contract negotiations last fall, failed to resolve the issues.

They claim the HR department is hostile toward them, the school retaliated against staff that supported BEST and more.

The BEA says it’s suing the school for what they call “unfairly withheld wages,” while BEST says it wants a “fair resolution” to contractual concerns.

A response from Dr. Perry is expected in the coming days.
