BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Alaska Airlines is ending Bellingham to Portland service.
The Bellingham Herald reports the last flight is scheduled for August 25.
An Alaska Airlines spokeswoman said the company is discontinuing the flights due to a low number of passengers.
Most Bellingham-Portland passengers are taking connecting flights to other destinations, and the airline says it will be more efficient to direct them through Seattle instead.
Alaska offers five flights a day from Bellingham to Seattle.
