Bellingham United picked up a 2-0 shutout of South Sound FC on the road Sunday. With the victory, the Hammers are in second place in the Evergreen Premier League of WA with 13 points and a 4-2-1 record.

Richard Henderson and Nick Cashmere each scored in the first half to lead Bellingham United to the win.

BUFC coach Lance Calloway said he was very pleased with the Hammers’ overall team play. “We were very solid defensively as a team,” said Calloway. “Our midfield, particularly Brendan Quilici and Jeremiah Lee had a very strong midfield presence as these won numerous 50/50 battles in the air.”

Bellingham returns home Sunday June 18th at 3 pm at Civic Stadium as they host a non league exhibition match against San Antonio FC.
