BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police arrested a woman for causing mayhem on Lakeway Drive on Saturday.
A police spokesperson says 911 was getting calls about a driver slowing to 5 miles per hour then speeding up to 50 miles per hour before slowing again.
The driver eventually collided with another car near Old Lakeway and she got out of the car and walked away from the scene.
But she then walked into the roadway, forcing traffic to stop.
Officers arrived and arrested Melody Sabo for reckless driving, hit and run and several other charges including assault for kicking an officer.
