BELLINGHAM, Wash. – A Bellingham woman was arrested Tuesday on charges she hit her 5-year-old son in the head with a hammer.
Lieutenant Danette Beckley says the boy was taken to the ER with a head injury that needed 5 staples to close.
Court documents show Brigid Collins workers spoke with the boy who said his mother, Hanna Moen, hit him with a hammer while he was watching TV.
Officers went to the boy’s home where his father, Cody Dandliker, showed them the hammer that matched the boy’s description as well as a bloody blanket and dry blood on the carpet.
Moen made her first court appearance Wednesday and Cody Dandliker petitioned for a no contact order.
