BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Bellingham Yacht Club is hoping you can help the recover a stolen boat.
The rigid inflatable boat, or RIB, was on a trailer outside the club at Squalicum Marina when someone hitched it to a truck and drove away with it early Saturday morning.
The white boat with inflatable pontoons had a 150 horsepower Evinrude outboard motor mounted on it, and Mike Powell with the Yacht Club says they’re concerned it may have been stolen for the engine.
The club had borrowed the boat from the Seattle Sailing Foundation to use in a youth sailing competition on Bellingham Bay last weekend.
The Sailing Foundation’s logo is on the boat’s side.
