BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The acid ball from the former Georgia Pacific waterfront site in Bellingham is set to be moved to its new home at Waypoint Park this (wed) morning.

Darby Cowles with the City of Bellingham planning department says preserving and embellishing this artifact of Bellingham industry is part of the City’s One Percent for the arts program.

She says a great place to view the move is from the newly opened pedestrian pier near the Granary Building off of Roeder.

The move is set to begin at 8 a.m. and is expected to take several hours.
