WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Whatcom County is expected to get a big increase in first dose COVID-19 vaccines this week.
The County Health Department reports local providers should receive 11,030 first doses from the state Department of Health, up from about 2500 last week.
About 1900 second doses are also on the way and more vaccine should be headed to local retail pharmacies through the federal partnership.
The state Department of Health has created a Vaccine Locator with information on local providers and whether they have appointments available.
